Principals are reminded to stop the District Education center for a complete package including forms, National deadlines and all guidelines.
REMINDERS
Principals who haven’t picked up their African maps are reminded to do so.
There are over 100 Teacher’s licenses ready for pick up at the DEC, please stop by to see if one of them are yours. If you are currently teaching and have not applied for a license, please come by the DEC to apply for yours as soon as possible.
CPD Hours: We are compiling a database of all teachers CPD credit hours and need all teachers assistance. Please bring any documentation you have for any CPD hours from 2004 or later to the DEC. See Miss Gomez or the IT Department to ensure we have the correct number of hours for you.
All 2005-2006 Introductory and Intermediate Computer Skills Classes are now underway and classes are full at this time.
Deadline for PSE Registration is November 25th.
Premise forms were due into the DEC by Friday October 14th, thanks to all the schools who have already submitted them. If you have not, please do so.
All future Teachers Temp. Licenses must be approved through Belmopan and will now take approximately 2 weeks to process.
Children’s Week is set for November 20-25 2005.
The Belize Tourism Board during National Tourism Week in Mid-January 2006 will be conducting a National Social Studies Quiz, if interested contact the DEC.
Teachers Workshop credit hours will be withheld until payment is received.
RISOGRAPH
The risograph, copying machine is here for your convenience and the rates for copies are as follows:For teachers .10 cents per copy when you bring your own paper, .15 cents per copy without paper.
A minimum of 20 copies can be made at any given time.In order to maintain the risograph and supplies all payments for copies must be done promptly

Coca-Cola National Spelling Bee Zone Eliminations
This was the 12th year for the Spelling Bee being sponsored by Coca-Cola in Belize. On 13th and 14th of February, seven zone eliminations comprising of 42 schools. Pictured above is the zone elimination hosted at Saint peter Claver on Tuesday February 14, 2006. The winners are as follows:
